Continuing its 29-year legacy, Rebel Salute staged its two-night festival at the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann, on the weekend.
The show, which returned to full physical splendour for the first time since 2019, had no shortage of spectacular moments like a thrilling yet graceful performance by Queen Ifrica, show-stopping sets from Bounty Killer, Stonebwoy, I-Wayne, Kabaka Pyramid, and almost the entire Rebel family. However, performances from both dancehall up-and-coming Jahshii, as well as the King himself, Beenie Man, have been dubbed the standout acts. Further cementing the near three-decade old cultural staple as reggae’s most important night, the festival pulled the likes of like-minded rebels from near and far to indulge in music, food, and their sacred tree, marijuana.
Here are the highlights.
