“I’m bringing a new flavour to dancehall with my music. Everything about my style is different. My lyrics are positive and uplifting, my rhyme schemes are unique and my flow is melodious. I’m about to take the dancehall game to a new level. I’m going to shake things up globally,” he said.
The Kingston-born deejay, who grew up in Portmore, St Catherine, is currently promoting a new single titled Brands. He said that he is pleased with the response that the single is getting, including airplay in several territories in the Caribbean, the US and Europe. “I’m putting a lot of work into this EP. We haven’t decided how many tracks are going to be on it as yet, so right now I am just recording a bunch of tracks. As soon as that process is over we’ll select the ones we want to use and choose the title and set the release date. It’s going to be epic,” he said.
Colossal Rhyme, given name Dale Beckford, launched his recording career in 2019 with the release of a single, titled Mama I Love You So, on the 3Kings label. Some of his other songs are Rep Top and Mayweather done with Tommy Lee Sparta.
